Giving Back Fuels Our Souls
Giving back is important to us. We survey our team annually and make contributions to the organizations that impact each of us the most.
We are thankful to our clients for the ability to give back.
The Anchor Center is a nonprofit organization built to provide early intervention and education to children zero to five years old with visual impairments. We’re lucky to have the home base right here in Denver. Our own Shelby Elit has volunteered with this program for years as part of her involvement in the Delta Gamma sorority. Their goal is to help prepare blind and visually impaired kids, their siblings, and parents for entry into Kindergarten at public schools.
When a child is diagnosed with a critical illness, the entire family is effected. There With Care helps ease some of the stresses for families dealing with critical illness by removing the things most heavy on their plate, ultimately giving them more time with their children. By donating time or money to this cause, the affected families get to feel a bit more whole during this hard time in their lives.
Every year we donate to the Humane Society because of our passion for animals. We choose a lot of local programs, but the Humane Society is equally as important to us as some of our Piconeans have adopted their pets there. The Humane Society supports not just dogs and cats, but a variety of animals in need of shelter, food and forever homes.
We are huge animal lovers here at Pico Digital Marketing, and we are passionate about protecting endangered animals, which is the mission of the World Wildlife Foundation. 84% of their donations go directly to the conservation of endangered animals all around the world. Not only do they focus on animal conservation, but they work to conserve nature as well.
We love their commitment to cleaning up the oceans and maintaining a healthy environment for sea life. Every donation helps them towards their goal of removing waste from not only the oceans, but coastlines as well. Some of our team grew up on the water making this cause especially important to us.
With what seems like an unfortunate increase in recent natural disasters, we feel compelled to help. From hurricanes to the wildfires, the American Red Cross has been a great way for us to donate to people suffering across the country.
While not local to Colorado, we fell in love with the mission of Safe Place for Pets. Their goal is to help terminally ill people find forever homes for their beloved pets, alleviating a huge amount of stress from what they face on a daily basis. This organization is run entirely by volunteers and donations to foster and find homes for a growing number of animals.
We love supporting Maxfund. It’s a local “true no kill” animal shelter and adoption center that challenges the traditional methods of animal sheltering by leading the no kill movement in Colorado. They strive to give animals, including the injured, abandoned, and abused, a second chance at life.
We donate to the Denver Rescue Mission because before the sun rises, they prepare 1,500 meals daily. Outside of meals, they provide shelter and organize programs to help the community thrive.
We spent one holiday season collecting gifts to donate to the My Stuff Bags Foundation. My Stuff Bags provides new belongings, comfort and hope to thousands of children each year who must be rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment across the United States.
Like the Humane Society, our team members have adopted several animals from these shelters and continue to support their mission. They want to build a stronger community by trying to end animal homelessness and suffering while providing excellent care for their animals until they find permanent homes.
We support the mission and digital efforts of the Brave Coalition. This organization uses outreach, partnership, and advocacy as catalysts for cultural transformation. The Brave Coalition inspires and enables individuals and communities to create a world free from limiting stereotypes so that all children regardless of gender, race, class, age, religion, sexual orientation, sexual identity, or circumstance can reach their full potential.
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has been a partner of ours for years. Their commitment to children’s medicine, technology and advancements is unmatched. They are one of the nation’s top pediatric hospitals treating kids of all ages and supporting healthy families and strong communities.
OMA offers resources, education, and community to physicians and health care providers in the field of obesity medicine. We believe strongly in this organization’s passion and ability to improve the lives of patients affected by obesity and their unwavering commitment to nutrition and health. We are committed to learning and supporting all of our client causes.
Jenna and Friends donates 2,000 lbs of high quality farm fresh foods to food pantries, churches, Meals on Wheels and other charities each month. We believe that whole food based nutrition is essential for all people to thrive. While food banks are wonderful, so much of the food collected is close to expiration making it hard to feed multiple families. Jenna and Friends works to help immediately distribute products like beef and eggs for quick consumption.
